IRON MAN(2008) - Rating 8/10

This summer blockbuster, although not perfect, lives up to its hype. Iron man has the potential to be a flop, but thankfully, its not. It is one of the better superhero movie in recent years to come out from hollywood.
One word for the CGI effects: Awesome. It does not ruin the movie but it enhances it instead. The sound effects in the film is also impressive. It reminds us that cinemas are always the best place to watch blockbusters. Not only the effects are superb, but the acting is excellent. Robert Downey Jr. is the suitable man to be iron man; he does the job iron solidly.
The only bad thing of this otherwise highly enjoyable film is its weak climatic battle. I felt it ended too fast. I want more action. Talking about action, this film have plenty, although not as much as Transformers or Spiderman. The film starts with a bang, literally, and never fails to let you go. Best part of the movie: when iron man is escaping from the cave. Hot, hot action.
There is only one thing that may beat Iron Man.
The Dark Knight.

Here We Go Again.

Now honestly, its been quite awhile. Long time no see! Other then my welcoming, I'd like to mention some changes.

  1. We have an introduction of MovieReview. A new thing i thought of to let people know about the movies and what we, 968778, think about it. (Thanks to 55, our new reviewer)
  2. And since we've been gone for such a long time, we've added some new authors. Mention their numbers later.
  3. Vijay : The Series will be postponed until further notice. Because we are really busy with our exams and all. So once its done, well... Lets just say Vijay will be exhausted.
  4. Next do keep visiting our blog and supporting us, and also our new blawgshop, opened by our very own 87. Do check out the designs available. A payment system will be made later on.

Well, thats about all i could think of. Further updates will be done later on. Its a busy month of may. =)

Take care! And rock on!

anyway i got nothing much to write today except that the blogshop is gonna go up real soon kay, so stay tuned for updates! :D

anyway wanna catch a movie? heres one i definitely recommend, no i URGE, you to watch:

theres just something about teen flicks' title that start with the protagonist's name that is just so appealing to me. its just one movie where you can judge it by its cover (another good example, no, great example, is JUNO).

it has pretty much the same, generic story sequence as any other high school/teen movie; new kid in town, everybody hates him, falls in love with a girl, turns hero, everybody loves him. like they say: its the same, but better...

great acting, good comedy, and a good soundtrack makes it one of the movies which will leave you with a smirk when you leave the theatre.

overall 968778 rating: 9 out of 10 bites

thats all folks!

p.s. i'll write about the class trip to an old folks home for community service on the next post.

Open up your mind and see like me

Song of the Day:
I'm Yours
Jason Mraz

Two words: simply blissful. Simple lyrics, simple guitar, beautiful song. Freewilling, innocent and carefree are just some of the words i can use to describe the song. It's just one of those songs in which you don't have to say much about it to appreciate it. Now just turn down the lights, close ur eyes, and imagine you're somewhere under the shade of a palm tree, hearing the waves crashing, seagulls cawing - you get the idea.

Btw, our dear 96 has managed to elude us once again, darn.

thy Flickr away!

photos photos photos galore
photos photos theres so much more
just click the following and take a seat
it is by the one, the only, yours truly, TIGBIT!

yep its the TigBit's very own Flickr account. the guy has one hell of a taste for photographs. see everything from snake gore to colourful plastic bears to plain randomness (i mean, whats 968778 without complete randomness?)!

heres the URL again:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/tigbit

plus we got the Song of the Day:

today i chose a little hip-hop. cause we all gotta have a little feel-good music once in a while. Kanye West have been acing in this line of music time and time again, and this is one good example of why his brand of hip-hop is so unique; different sounds, a positive theme, and most importantly, i can have nothing to do with bangin' ho's or blastin' them n*ggas'. food for thought. O_o

anyway for the next post im gonna get the ever-elusive 96 to write!

out and about

we dun need the headlines

Songs of the Week:

Born for This by Paramore

this song has been stuck in my head throughout the whole week. and usually when its stuck in your head, you just want it to stop. not this song. you just want it to keep playing over and over again. whats so catchy is probably the second-voicing done on it by the guitarist Josh Farro; its weird but at the same time catchy, kinda like Nine in the Afternoon by Panic At The Disco(speaking of, get the review of their new album Pretty.Odd at tigbit.blogspot.com).

Bang the Doldrums by Fall Out Boy

at first glimpse (or in this case, listen), FOB seems like a band that cant make up on the type of songs they like to play. a bad thing? a great thing. this has made them anything and everything from hip-hop collaborations to covers of the king of pop himself (Michael Jackson, that is). however this has also made them produce very colourful songs. and Bang the Doldrums is one good example. the theme of the song may seem confusing at first but its one of those things that you will easily learn to love.

until next time,
love music

the REVAMP

in conjunction with 78's INDEFINITE LEAVE, i have decided on a complete REVAMP of 968778 PRODUCTIONS!

HERE ARE OUR PLANS:
  1. A completely re-designed blog page by the end of April. This one would be more attractive and would cater to all age groups.
  2. A move to a subdomain (e.g. geocities) to increase exposure to the public eye.
  3. A blogshop selling 968778 merchandise and other goodies up by May. This is to fund our ever-growing projects.
  4. And of course, more viewable content for our fans, 'cause thats what we are all about!

More about this soon. so stay tuned!

FROM THE DESKS OF THE BOARD

Wednesday, March 26, 2008

he lives on in our hearts... and our blog posts

the first thing that came to mind when i heard 78 was quitting was "Why?" (wait actually i think it was more like "haha 78 tryna be funny. wait a minute... his jokes usually arent this lame..." because i didnt think he was being serious..)

he was one of a kind
he was in everyones mind

he was one that wouldnt fit
he was the one and only TigBit

we decorated his shoe
we sang together to Dark Blue
we had so so much fun and
we didnt think of the inevitable end

yup his minds made up
now play that golden harp
as we celebrate his time here
and as we shed our beloved 78 a tear

i can write so much poetry
about how he made life seem carefree
and how he put us in the spotlight
so this is the final goodbye, goodnight

goodbye 78

as usual, signing off with much love

So Long Goodbye...

Time passes quickly when you're having fun. But eventually, all good things have to come to an end. I had fun for the past 3 months or so, but I've decided its time to let go of this...all this. Its not that I have any conflicts with anyone in the crew but... its just time to move on.

I know that the other crew members would still be able to do a good job and possibly a BETTER job than when I'm around. But...heres good luck anyways! ;) I'll be looking forward to Vijay: The Series! Don't disappoint me guys! :)

From the birth of the board members to the inclusion of 77, 75 and 73 and to the filming of Vijay: The Series, I have watched this group of brothers grow and bond and I have to say I'm proud of the Production Crew. (I know...I'm being emotional... ;P) Even though my journey with you guys end here, I hope this Crew will stay together for years to come.

Heres a song to 'celebrate' my 'resignation' (I suppose...):

Saying My Last Goodbye...
78
p.s. Guys, please don't try to persuade me about my quitting the Productions. My mind is already made up and I hope you will respect my decision...
